Warm Witches Blood
Bewitchingly delicious for Halloween. A bloody mix of bourbon, spices and juice served at body temperature.
Ingredients
- 1 cup bourbon
- 4 cups apple-cranberry juice
- 2 cups orange juice
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 3 -4 allspice berries
- sugar to taste
Instructions
- Add all ingredients except bourbon to a saucepan and bring to a boil
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes while stirring and incanting “Hubble bubble boil and trouble”
- Remove from heat, strain then add the bourbon
- Best served at blood temperature of a perfect 98.6 F. (OK, a couple of degrees here or there won’t matter)
