Winter Warmer

Here’s a winter warmer to wrap your hands around. A teatail with Galliano and cognac, spiced with a little cardamom and sweetened with fig jam. Mmmm.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp loose black tea (or 1 teabag will do)
  • 3/4 oz Galliano liqueur
  • 3/4 oz cognac
  • About 6 cardamom seeds (cardamom quickly loses flavor out of the pod, so you may need to add a little more)
  • 1/2 tsp fig jam

Instructions

  1. Brew the tea with the cardamom and 8 oz of boiling water. Let steep for 4 minutes
  2. Remove the tea bag and cardamom seeds and stir in the fig jam*
  3. Add the Galliano and cognac
  4. Stir and garnish with an orange twist
  5. *Note: If your fig jam has seeds in it you may want to fine strain it before adding the spirits
