Life Is A Bitchintini

Here it is. The winning drink in the Shedding the Bitch Martini Contest, created by our own Elizabeth Dodwell and Rayann Larsen of the Work Spot in Duluth, GA.

The idea is to let go of all your angst and bitchiness (guys, this applies to you as well) and use that energy to create a calmer, happier and more successful life. And a few of these bitchin’ martinis will certainly help you along the way.

Don’t forget to look at the benefits of the ingredients; they’re listed at the end of the instructions. While we can’t guarantee the effect of the drink, we’re very sure you’ll enjoy the taste.

Ingredients

  • For the martini:
  • 1 oz Three Olives Chocolate Vodka
  • 1 1/2 oz VeeV Acai Spirit
  • 1/2 oz rosehip lavender syrup
  • Sprig of lemon balm
  • Dry champagne
  • For the rosehip lavender syrup:
  • 1 cup purified water
  • 2 1/2 tsps white stevia powder
  • 1 heaping tsp rosehips
  • 1/2 level tsp lavender blossoms (food grade)

Instructions

  1. For the syrup:
  2. Add all ingredients to a heavy saucepan
  3. Bring to a very slow simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
  4. Let cool then refrigerate
  5. This will keep for several weeks
  6. For the martini:
  7. Half fill a shaker with ice
  8. Add all ingredients except the bubbly and shake vigorously (you want to get the lemon balm nicely bruised)
  9. Strain into a chilled glass and top with a generous amount of bubbly
  10. Garnish with an extra sprig of lemon balm
  11. Best sipped while wallowing in a warm bubble bath and musing on your successful future

  14. Lavender – removes nervous tension
  15. Rosehips – nourish the brain and nervous system and help combat stress and fatigue
  16. Stevia – helps stabilize blood sugar and hypertension
  17. Lemon balm – calming
  18. Acai berry – can soothe anxiety, irritability and stress, keep muscles strong, and aid in memory and mental function
  19. Champagne – just damn bubblicious and can make you feel like a million dollars
