Lemon Drop Martini
A little sweet, a little more sour and a good bit of vodka for the perfect Lemon Drop Martini. Add a rim of sugar if you want your cocktail sweeter but use quality vodka and fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
This sweet and tart mixed drink was introduced in the 1970s at Henry Africa’s bar in San Francisco. The bar is now gone but the Lemon Drop lives on.

- 2 oz vodka
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 1 1/2 oz lemon juice
- Superfine sugar for rimming (optional)
- Lemon twist
- Rim the glass with the sugar
- Combine the vodka, triple sec and juice in an ice-filled shaker
- Shake vigorously
- Strain into a chilled glass
- Garnish with the twist
