Spanish Main
My version of the Spanish Main cocktail using dark rum, Licor 43 Spanish liqueur and a syrup of India tea, cinnamon and cloves.

Ingredients
- 1 oz Licor 43
- 1 oz Pusser’s Navy Rum
- 1/2 oz tea syrup
- For syrup:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 black tea (India tea) bag
- 2 small sticks cinnamon
- 2 cloves
Instructions
- To make the syrup:
- Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and bring to a very slow simmer
- Continue to simmer for 10 mins, stirring occasionally
- Let cool and refrigerate
- To make the cocktail:
- In a rocks glass with ice, add the Licor 43, Pusser’s and syrup
- Stir, sip and savor
