Yuengling beer and green chartreuse. Some of you may realize that the drink name is a play on words based not only on its ingredients but a poem, Being Young and Green, by Edna St. Vincent Millay.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz green chartruese
  • 1/4 tsp lavender buds
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ginger root, chopped
  • 1/2 oz creme de cassis
  • Bottle of Yuengling Traditional Lager

Instructions

  1. Pour the chartreuse in a mixing glass and add the lavender and ginger
  2. Muddle vigorously and allow to steep for 15 – 20 minutes
  3. Add the creme de cassis
  4. Add ice and stir well to chill
  5. Double strain into a chilled glass
  6. Fill with the lager
