Also known as a Scotch Manhattan, the Rob Roy is exactly that; a Manhattan with scotch rather than rye and may have been named after an 1890’s Broadway production.
- 2 oz blended scotch
- 3/4 oz Italian (sweet) vermouth
- Dash of Angostura or Peychaud’s bitters
- Add all ingredients to ice and stir ’til well chilled
- Strain into a cocktail glass
- Garnish with your choice of cherry or twist
