Chocolate Ginger Martini

This little libation really sizzles with chocolate and ginger and a cayenne-spiked chocolate rim. Lemon vodka gives it even more zest.

  • For the chocolate rim:
  • 2 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • For the cocktail:
  • 1 1/2 oz lemon vodka (you might like to infuse your own)
  • 1 oz Godiva original chocolate liqueur
  • 1/2 oz Domaine de Canton Ginger liqueur
  • Lemon twist


  1. Melt the chocolate slowly over a double boiler or in the microwave
  2. Stir occasionally
  3. When smooth, stir in the cayenne
  4. Pour onto a flat plate, let cool a little, then dip the rim of your glass in the mix (hint: when dipping, tip and rotate the rim of the glass to prevent a suction effect)
  5. Set the glass in the freezer to chill
  6. Shake the vodka, Godiva and ginger liqueur with ice
  7. Strain into your chilled glass
  8. Garnish with a twist of lemon
