Sweetheart Cocktail

Sweetheart Cocktail

I whipped up this sweet, delicious cocktail for my wife and me to share on our 17th anniversary. A refreshing blend of rum, Grand Marnier, blood orange bitters, and a dash of agave nectar made for a sweet ending to our anniversary day.

  • 2 oz. white rum
  • 1 oz. Grand Marnier
  • 1/2 oz. blood orange bitters
  • 1/2 tsp. agave nectar (or honey)
  • 3 oz. water
  • ice
  • orange slice (optional)

Mix the rum, Grand Marnier, bitters, agave, and water in a shaker with ice. Pour over ice and garnish with an orange slice if desired.

  1. Bob Sawyer says:

You could also substitute simple syrup for the agave. I used agave as I didn’t have time to whip up a batch of simple syrup. You could also try club soda instead of water.

  2. Aren’t YOU a sweetheart to create this for your special day. Thanks and congratulations.
