Having a bad day? Saying “Holy moly” just isn’t enough to get your frustrations out. But this libation with Bittermens Xocolatl Mole (that’s pronounced molay, by the way), Pyrat rum and walnut liqueur probably will.

Ingredients

  • 3 thin slices kiwi fruit
  • 5 or 6 fresh leaves of sage
  • 1/3 dropper of Bittermens Xocolatl Mole bitters
  • 1/4 oz walnut liqueur (Nocello)
  • 2 oz Pyrat Rum
  • Splash soda water

Instructions

  1. In an old-fashioned glass muddle the kiwi fruit, sage, bitters and walnut liqueur ’til the kiwi is almost pureed
  2. Add the rum
  3. Add ice to the glass
  4. Top with a generous dash of soda water and stir
