Another classic, the Brandy Alexander hails from the early 1900s. A simple yet simply delicious potion of brandy, creme de cacao and cream and apparently a favorite of Beatles, John Lennon and Ringo Starr.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz brandy
  • 1/2 oz dark creme de cacao
  • 1/2 oz heavy cream
  • Dash of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Combine brandy, creme de cacao and cream in a shaker with ice
  2. Shake vigorously
  3. Strain into a cocktail glass and add a dash of nutmeg powder
