Habanero Infused Vodka and Tequila

It doesn’t get much hotter than the habanero pepper. And creating your own infusions with vodka, tequila or any other liquor is a great way to add real zing to a cocktail.



  • 1 cup of liquor
  • 1/2 – 3/4 habanero pepper


  1. Wear rubber gloves! Do not get the pepper anywhere near your face, especially your eyes
  2. Cut the pepper in strips and add it to the liquor in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid
  3. Shake it, then refrigerate habaneros infused in vodka and tequila
  4. Your infusion will take 3 – 7 days. Check it daily and as soon as it’s hot enough for you, remove the peppers
  5. If the mixture gets too hot, just add more liquor
  6. You’re now ready to mix some great drinks, like the Bloody Hell
