Robert Burns
Though generally considered to be named for the famous Scottish bard, the Robert Burns cocktail may have been named for a cigar salesman who frequented the Old Waldorf-Astoria around 1930, and is not to be confused with the Bobby Burns cocktail.

Ingredients
- 1.5 oz scotch whiskey
- 1.5 oz Italian vermouth
- Dash of absinthe
- Dash of orange bitters
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients with ice to chill
- Strain into a cocktail glass
- Serve with a piece of Scottish shortbread
