This was the signature cocktail of the Clover Club, a Philly lawyers’ and writers’ club at the turn of the century (19th, that is).

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces London dry gin
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 3 dashes raspberry syrup

Instructions

  1. Shake with cracked ice
  2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
