Fox and Hounds
Don’t know the origin of this drink but it’s really quite refreshing. Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) might be the perfect time to enjoy it as this is the traditional day for sending the hounds after the fox. (Don’t worry, in the UK fox-hunting has been banned).
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz bourbon (under 100 proof)
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1/4 oz pernod
- 1 egg white
- 3 dashes orange bitters
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a shaker over ice
- Shake like an earthquake ’til the mixture is very frothy
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
