Old Fashioned
The first Old Fashioned dates back to the beginning of the 1800s and was really nothing more than whiskey, sugar cube and bitters. We’ve pretty much kept to that original formula here but have added a touch of orange just to give it a little more character. To find out more, take a look on our video page at the “Old Fashioned Cocktail”.
Ingredients
- 2 oz rye whiskey
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Dash of simple syrup
- 2 orange twists
Instructions
Add simple syrup and bitters to a bucket glass and roll the mixture around to coat the inside of the glass
Twist the orange over the glass to release the oils. You can discard the twists at this point or leave them as a garnish if you prefer
