Old Fashioned
The original Old Fashioned most likely didn’t include the orange and cherry, and any whiskey would do, but this recipe seems to be the most-accepted for this cocktail in our times.

Ingredients
- 2oz bourbon
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 maraschino cherry
- 1 slice orange
- Splash of water
Instructions
- Put all ingredients except bourbon in an old fashioned glass
- Muddle into a rough paste (if you don’t have a muddler use the back of a spoon)
- Add bourbon
- Fill glass with ice and stir
