Mint Julep
The Mint Julep first appeared in print in 1803 described as a “dram of spirituous liquor that has mint in it, taken by Virginians in the morning.” But it wasn’t until 1938 that it became the Churchill Down’s signature drink and today more than 80,000 juleps are served during the Kentucky Derby.
